A new build of MonitorDB
I’ve just updated MonitorDB. It’s never going to replace Grafana but if you need a quick solution to monitor a few values inside of the Oracle Database and you feel comfortable writing a quick piece of SQL… You’re all set. There’s not many changes in this release with the main ones being
- It only runs on JDK 17 and above. I know a lot of people are still wedded to JDK 8 but it’s time to move on.
- Updated the Oracle jdbc libraries to the latest supported version
- It will only start if a valid username,password and connect string are provided.
As for the future on monitordb, I’ll update it shortly with 3 new chart types bar chart, table and text. I’ll also add a simple layout model to make it almost a proper dashboard ;-)
